In my opinion, this is a great spot for you to have a nice cup of coffee without having to deal with the fleck of tourists on Champs Elysées . It’s at Le Petit Palais. Just ask for the restaurant of the museum

Today is the last day for coming to “le salon du livre rare” at Le Grand Palais. Besides the undeniable fact that there are many things that I can’t afford, it’s always a great excuse for seeing the gorgeous ceiling glass of the palace.

This very good small cafe specializes in tartines (open faced sandwiches) on very good toasted bread. These make a filling lunch or light dinner and most cost about 7 euros. They also have one soup of the day–we had one for about 2,50 euros made out of maggy sauce.

Pros : Affordable. Very cozy place to people watch, enjoy a glass of rose and the tartine du jour. I like the ambience enough to return.
Cons : It is a limited menu, half of it sweets. Simply and not really extraordinary food.
Overall, a very good, reasonably priced meal, There is seating outside on the busy square or some tables inside and the place is open all day. It is east of the Tourist Office and easy to get to–take Rue Henri Fabre (just by the tourist office) and walk one block and turn right and you will be at Place des Corps Saints

Avignon railway station (France)
La SNCF ‘chouchoute’ la gare préferée des Francais.

From what I remember from the time I had a dynamo on my bike, it was hardly enough to power to small bulbs. So, I’m a little sceptical about charging a phone with the same thing.

If this really works, it would be funny if it just sprouted wheels and started to carry them to a predetermined destination that had a bunch of wall outlets.
